4 Ways to Encourage Your Kid to Make New Friends & Help Prevent Bullying!

Children who tend to be alone are easy targets for bullies. Here are four ways to help encourage your child to make friends!

  • Get kids involved in organizations or sports activities that interest them.
  • Regularly have children over to play at your house to develop friendships.
  • Encourage kids to play with a boy or girl on the playground who seems to be playing alone and is withdrawn from other kids
  • Volunteer at your kids' school during recess or lunch to get an idea of class dynamics and see how your child interacts with other kids

Your support is key!

I think the most important is to have the kids come over after school to play. It works for kid who was getting bullied on the bus. All really the kid wanted was to be friends
